Collaboration class #1: Exhibition 2012

Exhibition 2012:

The first class of the second semester introduced us to what  would be required of us for the following weeks. To be honest it was a little bit unclear at first, as our class is combined with another "design" class who have completely different units and assessment tasks.

This class was intended to teach the importance of: collaboration, communication and co-operation in a creative workplace. These three things make a major impact on your productivety all the way from concept to delivery.

This is a funny example of a seemlingy obvlivious Patrick Stuart getting his ideas and concepts across to Ricky Gervias  in the show "The Extras", who is attempting contsructive feedback.

We were asked to define words in groups:

GROUP 1: DEFINE “Concept” :
A concept is a general idea, or something conceived in the mind

GROUP 2: DEFINE “Origination”:
To take its origin or rise; begin; start; arise:

GROUP 3: DEFINE “Critical Discourse”:
"critical", meaning; skillful judgment, a critical analysis.
"discourse" describes written and spoken communications.
Critical discourse describes the process of verbal or written constructive criticism.
GROUP 4: DEFINE “Critical Thinking”:
disciplined thinking that is clear, rational, open-minded, and informed by evidence.

GROUP 5: DEFINE “Creative Thinking”:
Creation resulting from originality of thought. Errational, reflective reasoning.
